Caroline is a legal advisor to companies with their projects in Asean, or Asian companies doing business in Europe.
With a twofold education in business management and law and mediation capacities, her knowledge of the business environment reinforces her advisory, negotiation and litigation skills.
She focuses on company law matters in transnational context (structuring and restructuring of companies, incorporation of legal entities, transfer of business, M&A) on project management and on international contracting and employment matters relating to international mobility. Her practice and experience ranges from industrial sector, retail, agri-food industry, textile, architecture and design, hospitality and tourism, health and education and ICT.
After practicing in France with Paris law firms (1998-2002), Caroline expanded her international experience by practicing in Southeast Asia (based in Vietnam 2002-2007 and 2009-2018, and in Singapore 2007-2009) where she was head of DS Avocats offices in Singapore and Hanoi before founding AsiAttorneys in Vietnam with Albert Franceskinj. She now has a foothold in Europe to enhance our crossborder capacity.
At FIDAL AsiAttorneys, Caroline involves in the firm’s management, communication and marketing; her digital skills and interest for innovation at large enabled us enter the LegalTech movement !
Caroline has always shared her capacities with the business community, currently as a member of the board of the French Chamber of Commerce (CCIFV) and jury member of the EID accelerator, a program dedicated to start-up which promotes entrepreneurship and innovation in a result oriented manner by offering a collaborative platform of experts sharing their skills, knowledge and network.
She used to be French foreign trade advisor (CCEF, 2009-2017), Chairwoman of the Human Resource Committee of EUROCHAM Vietnam where she actively involved and notably drafted the ‘Human resources and Training’ chapter of the White Book, which compiles all ‘doing business’ recommendations made by stakeholders to Vietnamese authorities in partnership with the Vietnam Business Forum (VBF).
She is regularly invited to present the business environment in Southeast Asia and the modalities of structuring, incorporation and trade in Asean at seminars and conferences held by governmental agencies and international organizations. She was a lecturer in corporate law in the Master of International Business Law driven by University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas in cooperation with HCMC University of Law 2014-2017.
Holding a Master’s degree in Private Business Law from the Panthéon-Sorbonne University (Paris I) and a Master’s in International Business from the PSB Paris School of Business (ex-ESG Management School), member of the EFMD (European Foundation for Management Development, which includes the most prestigious graduate schools and European universities offering programs in management), trained in mediation with the Brussels Business Mediation Center and Singapore Mediation Centre, she currently undergoes vocational training relating to GDPR.
